The college has recently been diversified. It has become a multi-faculty co-education college from the academic session 2001-02. The college now offers Honours courses in Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, English, Bengali, History and General courses in Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Bengali, English, Education, Sociology and History.
The Library is well equipped and is useful for students of all streams. For the newly introduced subjects also, a good number of useful books have been procured.
The college has a well-furnished computer training centre of its own in the new college building to provide computer training.
K.K.Das College (formerly known as K.K.Das College of Commerce) was established in the year 1964. Since its inception it had been functioning from the premises of Dinabandhu Andrews College, Garia in the year 2008 the college has been shifted to its own building at the present address. This college was named after Later Kamini Kumar Das, a doctor. The requisite fund for starting the college was generously provided by the members of his family. It was started as a commerce college in the area and provided opportunities to the students of the neighborhood who wanted to pursue undergraduate commerce education. Now its is running successfully as a multi-faculty college.
We are now living in a restless world. Young adults entering into the arena of higher education are faced with uncertainties and dilemma as to their own futures.In our college a team of committed teachers aim at making the students ready to face such contemporary challenges through structured pattern of instruction and their continuous support and guidance.

The students should abide by the rules and regulations of the college.The college authority may take disciplinary action if any student violated the college rules.
The students have to be punctual in attending both theoretical and practical classes.
Honours students have to obtain at least 40% marks in the aggregate in all the Units Tests for eligibility to appear in the university examinations.
Students are to collect identity card from office at the time of admission to the college. No students will be allowed to enter the college without Identity Card. Student of 2nd Year and 3rd Year will also collect their Identity Card at the time of Provisional Admission. So Provisional Admission to the 2nd & 3rd year are compulsory for attending classes and entering the college.
